1/4 Gram 24 Karat Gold Bar in Tamper Evident Packaging and Golden Life Card

his 1/4 Gram 24 karat pure [0.999 fine] gold bar was minted by Benchmark Strategic Metals here in the U.S.A. in Rochester, New York.  The bar has vital assay details stamped into the gold ingot [weight, purity, metal] and printed on the Tamper Evident Packaging. A security hologram circle is featured on the reverse of the assay card, which is protected in cellophane and safely attached to the inside of a Golden Life Card with its "mini-bio" of the piece [see photograph]. Fractional gold bars, meaning under an ounce, are increasingly popular due to the high cost of larger pieces. The downside, of course, is that while saving gold becomes more affordable, the cost-per-unit increases due to the high cost of assaying and packaging the smaller gold pieces. Nonetheless, Benchmark Mint produces fractional gold from as small as 1/4 grain to much larger two gram units.
