1890 Copeland China Marked Gilman Collamore & Co NYC Floral Fluted Tea Cup.
This dainty little tea cup measures 2" tall and 4 1/8" wide. The cup has two dark hairline cracks that can be seen from the inside and the outside. It is study and solid regardless of the cracks.
This cup was manufactured by Copeland China, which can be seen on the bottom in a blue colored mark. It was made for Gilman Collamore & Co. located at 5th Ave & 30th Street. It is marked with that info in black, stamped over the blue Copeland mark.
Gilman Collamore & Co. was located at the address on the mark in 1890, which is approximately when the cup was manufactured.
The porcelain cup features a fluted swirled design shape. It is covered in gold, pink and yellow floral swags with greenery detailing.
This came from my aunt's collection of single, unique and lovely little tea cups. Even with the cracks, this cup still displays beautifully. Happy bidding.
