    Description

    Up for sale is a book entitled, "The Album of American Steam Traction Engines" by T. H. Smith.  It is in excellent condition.  Pages are securely coil bound.  There are no rips or tears or dog eared pages.  There is a small spot of black marker on the inside front cover and a stamped name and address (Leonard Newton, Rt. 3, Grinnell, IA  50112) on the inside back cover.  No pencil or pen marks.  Pages are not numbered - book is a little over 1/2" thick and measures approximately 8 1/2" x 11".  The book contains mostly pictures and photos of steam engines.  There are a few pages of specifications - very little text otherwise.  Book covers the period between 1900 and early 1920's when the gasoline engine was introduced.
