Shaul Tchernichovsky (1943-1875), one of the greatest Hebrew poets in the first half of the 20th century, translator and physician.
Born on the Ukrainian border and immigrated to Israel in 1931. As an adult, he studied medicine and graduated until the end of his life, combining his activities as a physician with his activities as a poet.
