The ball and signature were obtained during the 1996 US amateur championship by an individual who had access to the players.
Tiger went on to defeat Steve Scott in 38 holes, winning his 3rd amateur title on August 25th 1996 at Pumpkin Ridge in Oregon.
This is an extremely rare item as Tiger stopped signing golf balls when he turned pro, two days after this victory. Even famously refusing to do so during his exclusive deal with Upper Deck or for other golfers he was playing against during his career.
