his Listing is for lot of two (2) 7.5 Grain [TOTAL: 1 Gram] 24 karat pure [999.9 fine] gold bars minted by Benchmark Strategic Metals located in Rochester, New York. This mint produces gold bars ranging in weight from 1/4 grain to two grams. Many of their smaller pieces, especially those under a single grain [1/15th of a Gram], are designed as gifts items. Fractional gold pieces, those weighing under a Troy ounce, are increasingly popular because they make owning gold affordable for modest incomes. The key to precious metals used to a build an asset is to "cost average," buying small pieces over very extended times. This way the premium costs, profit added to the spot gold price, become less onerous. The actual cost of assaying and packaging gold into fractional pieces adds significantly to the retail prices, but buyers expect clear assay details, good packaging and adequate security features.
