VINTAGE WESTMORELAND PURPLE MILK GLASS PANEL GRAPE 12” EGG PLATTER/TRAY. This dish began life as standard white Westmoreland milk glass, but was exposed to low level radiation at a meat packing plant. This process gives milk glass an array of grey shade colors from a medium grey to the gold purple grey, and the lovely plum purple of this dish. I photographed this dish next to the white vase to show the true color, which appears a bit more grey in the pictures than it is in real life. Truly unique pieces that will enrich any Westmoreland collection!  The plate is approximately 12 1/4” in diameter. There are no chips or cracks and no signs of wear. The overall condition is excellent. Plate stand is not included, nor is the white vase, which is shown for color comparison.
