    Description

Fantastic estate sale find. Mid century Native American Indian souvenir wooden tomahawk or hatchet. Heirs said it is from their childhood vacations in the Adirondack, NY area.
Carved from a lightweight knobby wood - species unknown. Rawhide holds the axe head firmly to the handle - not loose at all. It has remanents of orange and green feathers on the handle.
    Head: 12.75 long x 4 wide (inches)
Handle: 17.75 inches long (including the part that goes through the hatchet head) x 1 3/8 at the widest diameter
Would make a truly unique decor piece hanging on the wall of a log cabin or ski lodge!
